“Returning the power back to the people”

We are the shareholders for this district, and we should always be conscious of the fact that we have a government; not vise versa.  Our government has only the power granted to it by it’s constitutes.  I’m asking everyone in this district to stand together as the voice of our government and say loud and clear that we demand better education for our children, we demand that no one is without healthcare, and that our state should be the best place in the nation to do business in.

In principle, I support The No Child Should Be Left Behind Act of 2001, yet in 2008 we still have districts, schools, and students that are not afforded an opportunity for success, we must do better.  To achieve educational superiority for all students, our educators, government, parents, and our communities must be united in the fact that No Child Should Be Left Behind.

I believe that our state’s greatest resource is its people.  The Economic Welfare of our state lies with our ability to teach our on, train our on, and retain our on family members, neighbors and friends.  We must focus on the careers of the future, technology, management, mathematic and engineering.

In the midlands we have more than 35% of our children uninsured, we must demand that all of our children are insured. I believe that every South Carolinian should have access to affordable medical care and if the state have to provide greater incentives to businesses, nonprofits, and churches then let do so..

On too many occasions our government has abused the authority given to it by the people, and on many key issues it appears that they are not even listening.  We all want to achieve educational superiority for all South Carolina children, yet we have one of the highest dropout rates in the nation.  Our people must be taught, trained, and especially retain if we are going to be known nationwide as the best state to do business in.  The state has failed in providing healthcare to our uninsured, we must use proven formulas to solve our uninsured crisis and competition levels the playing field.  As a shareholder, I’m demanding that our state do a better job when it comes to educating, employing, and providing healthcare to it’s citizens.
